Forensic Sciences Foundation 2014-15 Student Travel Grant Winners

The Forensic Sciences Foundation (FSF) is proud to announce the winners of the “FSF Student Travel Grant Award for Students” essay contest: Catherine Connon, Associate Member/Criminalistics; James Fancher, Associate Member/Odontology; Christina Fojas, Student Affiliate/Anthropology; Michael Hitchcock, Associate Member/Criminalistics; Kate Lesciotto, Student Affiliate/Anthropology; Maria Alexandra Lopez Cerquera, Student Affiliate/Anthropology; Paola Magni, Applicant/Pathology/Biology (not pictured below); and, Andrew Seidel, Student Affiliate/Anthropology (not pictured below). The Student Travel Grant will assist with travel expenses in attending the American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS) 67th Annual Scientific Meeting in Orlando, FL.

The FSF Board of Trustees was able to approve the expenses, not to exceed $1,500 per student, for eight students this year. A complimentary meeting registration is included with the $1,500 grant for travel expenses. The 2014-15 FSF Student Travel Grant Committee was comprised of Susan Ballou, Chair (Criminalistics), Paula Brumit (Odontology), and Paul Messner (Jurisprudence).
